Oil workers in the country have called off a strike action they embarked on after Minister of State for Petroleum Ibe Kachikwu announced that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) would be split into independent units.
“Sequel to exhaustive deliberations between our GMD and GEC of PENGASSAN and NUPENG, the corporate-wide strike has been suspended,” the
oil corporation said via it’s official Twitter handle.
